*6.4 ounces chopped chicken, white*1/2 medium onion, sliced thin*2 eggs, beaten*3 teaspoons hon-mirin*3 teaspoons soy sauce*1 teaspoon sake*2 teaspoons sugar*1 teaspoon dashi powder/granules*2 teaspoons seaweed, chopped - for garnish*1 teaspoon [[#beni_shoga|beni-shoga]] chilled - for garnish*1 cup water<br><font size="3"><b><u>Directions:</u></b></font>#Bring the water to a boil in a pot.#Add dashi to the boiling water and stir.#Add in hon-mirin, soy sauce, sake, and sugar.#Mix in onion and chicken and bring to a boil.#Cover and reduce to medium for 5 minutes.#Drizzle the egg over the mixture in the pot and cover for 30 seconds or longer on high heat.::<i>work Serve in progressa bowl over steamed rice.
