Chao Mein
Ingredients:
- chao mein noodles
- 4 sliced scallions
- 3 cups finely shredded green cabbage
- 1/2 cup bean sprouts
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions
- Prepare noodles according to the package instructions.
- Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, then set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in wok.
- Add scallions, cabbage, and sprouts; stir fry 3 minutes.
- Remove from wok and set aside.
- Add the cooked noodles to the wok; stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Return vegetables to the wok; stir fry until hot.
- Combine sugar, broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl.
- Pour over noodles.
- Stir until sauce thickens.
- Serve!
