Chao Mein


Ingredients:

  • chao mein noodles
  • 4 sliced scallions
  • 3 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons water


Directions

  1. Prepare noodles according to the package instructions.
  2. Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, then set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in wok.
  4. Add scallions, cabbage, and sprouts; stir fry 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from wok and set aside.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the wok; stir fry for 2 minutes.
  7. Return vegetables to the wok; stir fry until hot.
  8. Combine sugar, broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  9. Pour over noodles.
  10. Stir until sauce thickens.
Serve!
