I'd like to perform some OS updates there which might lead do downtime due to reboots and tried to discuss the maintenance window in xmpp.
As xmpp doesn't seem to be actively used by a large amount of people anymore this did lead to nothing.
I'd suggest that we define a time window where we can do maintenance tasks like that without needing to discuss them individually so that we can just announce these changes a few days prior to implementation (with maybe a veto possibility for a time window).
For this use case we possibly might need a possibility to reach all users (return of the mailing list?)
