Das Boot is a German war movie from 1981. It is arguably the fourth best thing to come out of Germany after beer, philosophy and Christmas trees. It stars Jurgen Prochnow as The Captain, Herbert Gronemeyer as The War Correspondent and more Germans.
Das Boot is frequently rewatched collectively in zombi, for example at yearly meetings and bi-weekly movie nights.
It had the greatest budget of any German project or undertaking since the Atlantic Wall which required one million French workers to build.
