Matrix is a federated IM-protocol, that natively supports E2E-Encryption. You can connect with a client of your choice at matrix.zom.bi. We also have a web-interface running at https://riot.zom.bi to which you can connect with a browser of you choice, using your LDAP credentials. Matrix supports federation, but our server is not (yet) configured to use federation. The protocol also implements VoIP and video calls, but requires a TURN-server for that (which we don't have running yet).
